This is a small old place right on the Baltic coast with a fishing port and a modern marina. directly to the left of Klintholm Havn is a beautiful sandy beach that is well suited for swimming and sunbathing. The sand is not completely white, but still great.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"width: 100%\" id=\"c24pp-holidayhome_dk-iframe\" data-q=\"Borre\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/files.check24.net\/widgets\/auto\/124552\/c24pp-holidayhome_dk-iframe\/holidayhome-iframe.js\"><\/script>\n<p>Many Germans use the marina for their Baltic Sea sailing trips or have their yachts stationed here. There are public toilets and showers at the marina.<\/p>\n\n<p>The port of Klintholm is now an active fishing port as well as a popular tourist destination with several restaurants and art galleries. It has several attractions such as the large marina, two sandy beaches, a supermarket and a fresh fish shop, which offers transverse access in all tides, even in strong winds.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"917\" src=\"https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant.jpg\" alt=\"Food and restaurants in Klintholm Havn\" class=\"wp-image-7188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant-300x215.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant-1024x734.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant-768x550.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant-810x580.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.insel-moen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/klintholm-restaurant-1200x860.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Restaurant Klintholm Havn<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The restaurant is located in a converted 18th century warehouse and has a large terrace overlooking the harbor. The menu includes traditional Danish dishes such as herring, smoked salmon and pickled vegetables, as well as a variety of fish dishes. The restaurant also has a wide selection of wine and beer and offers a selection of Danish pastries and desserts.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Klintholm Rogeri is also recommended. There is freshly smoked fish and cold Carlsberg beer. Here you can also have a great picnic on the wooden benches.<\/p>\n\n<p>From our point of view, it is not a bad thing to vacation here, because the marina has great accommodations, right on the water. The main attractions of the island of M\u00f6n are also in the immediate vicinity.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The area around Klintholm Havn<\/h2>\n\n<p>Ostm\u00f8n is a quiet, hilly area with mixed farming. To the east the terrain rises to the wooded nature park that leads to the chalk cliffs of M\u00f8n. There are many species of land and sea birds, particularly swallows and swans, while deer, squirrels, rabbits, and foxes are some of the species you will see most often. Read the article on M\u00f8ns Klint for more information on the rarer species you can see in the area.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The climate in Klintholm Havn<\/h2>\n\n<p>Compared to the rest of Denmark, M\u00f8n has a relatively mild climate. Data from the Danish Meteorological Institute [4] show that the average midsummer temperatures are between 19 \u00b0 C and 26 \u00b0 C, while the daily averages in winter are around freezing point. The amount of rainfall rarely exceeds 10 days per month.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Strand von Klintholm Havn auf der Insel M\u00f6n\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6ZN96Xosx2A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The beach at Klintholm Kavn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>The summer days are long and bright with around 17 hours of daylight, while the winter days are short and often quite boring.<\/p>\n\n<p>Due to the shallow depth of the Baltic Sea, the sea temperature can rise to around 20 \u00b0 C in the summer months. And in exceptionally cold winters, also due to the low salinity of the Baltic Sea, it is known that sea water also freezes.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The end of the 2nd World War in Klintholm Havn<\/h2>\n\n<p>On May 5, 1945, the day Denmark was liberated from German occupation during World War II, a barge with 370 starving prisoners from the Stutthof concentration camp near Danzig (now Danzig) arrived in Klintholm Havn. The prisoners of the concentration camp had forced the prisoners onto the launch and let them drift across the Baltic Sea.
